Several members of the department have been putting in a lot of extra training hours this month.  Nearly 20 firefighters have been participating in the  Rescue Technician Basic Course offered by the NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control.

Under the leadership of State instructor Jeremy Clawson , CFC members put in over 25 hours of  training on nights and weekends to attain the State Certification.

The course consists of learning and performing skills in use of rope and knot systems, technical rescue management, low angle rope rescue and high pressure air bag lifting & cribbing to name a few.
