Monday September 9, 2013, Mayor Frank Leak with the Village Board of Trustees; Tom Tobin, Michael Aidala, Betty Film and Jack Murphy along with Chief Matthew Redick recognized the members of the Colonie Village Fire Company, the West Albany Fire Department and the Shaker Road Fire Department who were involved in the “SAVE” of a woman at the last Cook Park “Concert in the Park” event.

The following members of the Colonie Village Fire Company were thanked by Mayor Frank Leak and the Trustees: Assistant Chief Jack Redick, Captain Bill Boomhower, Lieutenants Ian Gecewicz and Marc Poskus, Firefighters Mike Monti, Steve Garry, Keith Fogg, Dave Haack, Kelly O’Hearn Bauer, and Assistant Chief Patrick O’Connor of the Shaker Road Fire Department. Ron Baker, Luke Brehm and Mike Middlestead from Colonie Fire Company and Mike Cerone of the West Albany Fire Department were also thanked but were unable to attend the ceremony.
